Biography: 

富山県出身、神奈川県在住。自然と釣り文化をテーマに創作活動を行う。文章と写真を手がけ、アウトドア領域を中心とした雑誌媒体、企業広告にて作品を発表。​自身もトラウティスト、アングラー（つり人）として、美しい鱒を求めて、全国の川や湖を巡る。第１回グレートフィッシング然別湖フォトコンテントグランプリ受賞。雑誌『鱒の森』（つり人社）に写真やエッセイ、短編小説を提供する等、意欲的に創作活動に取り組む。

I was born in Toyama Prefecture and currently reside in Kanagawa Prefecture. I am a creative artist who focuses on nature especially fishing. My works have been published in magazines and other media, mainly in the field of outdoor activities. As a trout fisherman and angler, I travel to rivers and lakes all over Japan in search of beautiful trout. I won the Grand Prix of the 1st Great Fishing Shikaribetsu Lake Photo Contest in 2017. I am currently involved in many creative activities.

Artist Statement:

私の作品では、ペンとレンズを用いて、釣りを通じた人と自然との関係性を捉え直し、そこに潜む価値を形として他者へ共有することを探究しています。人が、魅惑的な釣りという行為に惹かれる理由というのは、古来から人間に刷り込まれた狩猟本能からくるものだけでなく、家族や人生といった私たちの現実と重なるものが、そこにはあるからだと考えています。父親、友人や巡り会ってきた人々との釣りの思い出、一期一会や一魚一会の出会い、一尾を釣り上げるまでの思索と苦悩、自然の美しさと脅威、そして魚が食いつくことへの期待感。文章と写真で、釣りのある世界を少しだけ変えていく。ノスタルジックで時にメランコリックな作用を掘り下げるような情景の浮かぶ作品によって、釣りを楽しむための異質で新しい可能性を創ります。​

In my work, I use my pen and lens to explore the relationship between people and nature through fishing, recreating new values and sharing them with others.Since ancient times, people have been attracted to fishing not only for survival but for the connections humans make throughout their life time; memories of fishing with fathers and friends, once-in-a-life encounter with a person and a fish, the contemplation and agony of catching a fish, facing the beauty and threat of nature,  and hoping for a fish to rise.

I want to change the world of fishing through my writing and photography.  By delving into the nostalgic world of fishing, I intend to generate new ways to enjoy fishing in the future.​
